Engage and motivate your residents

What we do

Local Green Points is a specialist provider of services for local authorities, housing associations and other corporate clients focused on waste and recycling. We are experts at engaging and motivating people to reduce waste, reuse more and recycle what they can.

We can provide recycling reward schemes or other bespoke services to help you deliver real improvements and achieve your waste targets. We understand how to exploit waste and recycling data to engage people in positive waste behaviours, and we have extensive experience delivering a range of services for our clients, with a flexible ethos that is central to all that we do.

What Our Partners Say

The scheme serves two purposes for us - it's a reward scheme, but it's also a communications channel. I don't think we would otherwise be able to reach 30 per cent of people in flats, and certainly not as cost effectively.

John Matthews - London Borough of Bexley

I found Local Green Points an excellent partner to work with on our door to door campaign to boost recycling rates; the campaign was executed on time and I found their door to door team to be very efficient.

Claire Pike - Bracknell Forest Council

Our estate project with Local Green Points in East London effectively incentivises our residents to get composting and to dispose of cooking oil correctly - a major issue for us - whilst giving back to the community through charity donations.

Case Studies

“We’re proud that Bexley continues to remain London’s top borough for recycling with a recycling rate more than 53%. However, we are always looking for innovative ways to improve our performance. This scheme is working not just in terms of reducing waste and recycling more, but it also supports independent traders on our high streets, local charity projects and brings the community together”.

Councillor Gareth Bacon, previously Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Environment

London Green Points – Bexley was launched in September 2011 to boost recycling rates, reduce fly tipping and cut the amount of rubbish sent for disposal in the Thamesmead area of Bexley. Since then, the scheme has been rolled out to all 17,000 purpose-built flats across the London Borough of Bexley.
